Firewall & network security.
A firewall decides what gets in and out of your network. Network security decides what can reach what once it is inside. We design, configure and manage both, for offices, cloud environments and websites, and keep the rules current as the business changes.
What’s included.
Firewall
- Firewall selection and installation
- Rules based on least access
- Intrusion prevention and web filtering
- Firmware updates and configuration backups
Network security
- Segmentation, so one infected device cannot reach everything
- Guest, staff and device networks kept apart
- Secure remote access and VPN
- Wi-Fi with a sign-in for each person, not a shared password
Web protection
- Web application firewall for sites and apps
- DDoS mitigation across layers 3, 4 and 7
- Bot detection and rate limiting
- Blocking of scraping, spam and credential stuffing
Oversight
- Log review and alerting
- Regular rule clean-ups
- A change record for every rule
- Reports on blocked traffic
In detail.
Network segmentation
A flat network lets anything talk to anything. We split it into zones for staff, guests, servers, phones and devices such as cameras and printers, and allow only the traffic each zone needs. If one device is compromised, the damage stops at the edge of its zone.
DDoS protection
A DDoS attack floods a site or server with traffic until it stops responding. We put mitigation in front of your services that absorbs and filters attack traffic in real time, with monitoring and incident reports.
Bot management
Bots scrape content, spam forms and try stolen passwords. We identify and block malicious automation while letting real visitors and search engines through, which also keeps your analytics clean.
How it works.
-
Review
We look at what is exposed to the internet and what the current rules allow.
-
Design
A rule set is written around what the business needs, and nothing else.
-
Deploy
We install and test during a planned window.
-
Maintain
Updates, log reviews and rule changes are handled for you.
