Who we are
Only Tech Solutions (ABN 69 653 935 847) operates this website. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and your message, and optionally what the enquiry is about. We receive the same kind of information when you email us directly.
When you request a consultation. The booking form asks for your name, email address, how you would like to meet and a preferred day and time. A phone number, your company name and notes are optional. The request is sent to us by email, and a copy is kept on our web server so we can confirm and manage the booking. No outside booking service is involved.
When you browse. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It counts page views and records general details such as the referring site, browser, device type and country. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other websites.
When you use a free tool. The website health check and the security headers check load the web address you enter, once, from our server. The expiry check connects to the domain you enter to read its certificate, and asks the domain’s registry when the registration runs out. The email domain check looks up the public DNS records of the domain you enter, using our server’s DNS resolvers and, if those do not answer, public resolvers run by Cloudflare and Google. The Essential Eight assessment works out a result from the answers you choose. To see whether the tools are useful, we keep a line for each check for 365 days: which tool was used, the domain that was checked, how the check came out and when. For the Essential Eight assessment that line holds the level the answers came to, not the answers. We do not record who ran a check: no name, email address or IP address is kept with it, and a web address is kept as its domain only.
Server logs. Like most websites, our server records the IP address, time and page for each request. We use these logs to keep the site secure and to diagnose faults.
Spam protection. The contact form and the consultation request use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated software. To do this, Turnstile sends information about your browser and device, including your IP address, to Cloudflare. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that information.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The contact, booking and tool pages set one essential cookie that protects their forms from misuse. It holds no personal information and is removed when you close your browser.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
- To keep this website secure and working.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers that help us run the business, and only so they can provide their service to us: our email and website hosting providers, and Cloudflare for spam protection. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and consultation requests for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of our dealings with you. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Connections to this website are encrypted.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@onlytech.solutions. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
